Duality OCT- Thieves guild NPC app- Updated

7/22/13-- PLEASE note: ADOLPHA IS NOW AN NPC

So yeah. I was really surprised/happy to have made it as far as I did, but I still had a feeling that Round 3 would be my last hurrah... too much happened all at once right during the time I normally would have worked on it: from graduating college to moving to a new state and finding a new apartment and working in a lab before medical school.... yeah. Fun times.
That being said, I have every intention of continuing to participate, even if it is as an NPC.
I shall continue to update the app/bio as becomes necessary.

Name: Adolpha
Age: 20 (had a birthday in the month following the battle for Driftveil)
Ht: 5' 3"

Backstory: Though Adolpha may not be the real name of this vagabond, hers is a typical story of one who started high up, but fell way, way down: her family was a very well-to-do presence in her town, with her father's trading company raking in a sizable amount of money. She lived in the more upscale neighborhoods for most of her life, and never really had to do anything for herself...
Until her father decided to make a bad investment. Without going into too much detail, her father put his faith and wallet into some bad stock, and as a result left his entire family completely destitute. Well, almost the entire family. Her mother decided to run off with a richer suitor who had been pursuing her for months. She made no attempt to take Adolpha with her, and so the now homeless and penniless father had to think of some way to get along. His first idea: make Adolpha "useful" by sending her to join the Warriors' guild, as he and his family had done for generations. However, this did not sit well with Adolpha, and so in the dark of one night she took her Eevee and made a run for it (and the Zweilous given to her by her father inadvertently followed). For the past three years or so, Adolpha had been on her own, making her way the best way she can, with her faithful partners by her side. With rumors of conflict among the royal court, and a country on the brink of war, Adolpha has found herself in a most precarious position: to choose a side.

At this point, it is known that her true name is Evangeline Blackmore. (see Round 3 entry). Since the events at the Driftveil bridge battle, Adolpha decided to take her role in the guild more seriously: she decided to train herself and her Pokemon more strenuously (her "weight gain" is mostly muscle, I assure you).

Personality: While not rather attracted to violence and the like, Adolpha will not settle for anything, especially a loss. She has learned to become somewhat of a social chameleon, blending in perfectly to gain the trust and confidence of her "victims." She tends to enjoy working more from the shadows, and her dagger is more for show than anything else. In reality, Adolpha usually makes an effort to retain a calm demeanor, though she has quite the temper. She likes to think things through as best as she can beforehand, and gets frustrated when things don't necessarily go according to plan. Since the recent battle and Cassius' departure, Adolpha seems to have become a bit more quiet, more serious...

Pokemon

Vari- Umbreon, Bold nature

Vari was one of Adolpha's first Pokemon, while her family was still wealthy. Vari was found by Adolpha as an Eevee on the streets, and has been by her side ever since. She was born into an equally wealthy family, which were known for their breeding practices far and wide, producing the "best quality" of Eevee. Except for Vari that is- she was born with blindness in her right eye, and was thus deemed "unfit" and "impure," and promptly dumped into the street. Most humans treated her harshly and indifferently, except for Adolpha.
Personality-wise, she remains the utmost faithful to Adolpha, and refused to abandon her, even after the family lost everything. She tends to be distrustful of most others, save for those who can impress her. When she's not helping Adolpha get by with simple heists of money or other goods, one can usually find her napping. In battle, Vari tends to use her speed and resistance to pain to wait out her opponents as they slowly succumb to poison or fatigue; if anything, she is patient. Interestingly enough, when using mean look, her blind eye only adds to its penetrating prowess. Since Cassius' departure, she is constantly concerned with Adolpha's mental and emotional state, especially since she doesn't seem to talk to her as much....

Cassius- Seviper, Serious nature

Cassius is the most snyde and sarcastic member of the group. Cassius attempted to steal from Adolpha's store of food while she was out, when he happened to meet the rather unfriendly jaws of Meinrad. He remained stuck in the Zweilous's vice-like grip until Adolpha and Vari came back, some two hours later. After much coaxing and physical force, the reluctant Meinrad let the serpent free. Strangely enough, Cassius chose to repay his debt by joining Adolpha and her team. Meinrad's bite mark has left a rather nasty scar on his body, and to this day Cassius will NEVER rest easy with his back towards him. He is the stealth expert, slithering almost noiselessly while approaching his target. In battle, Cassius is more of the "strike swiftly and quietly" variety: his speed may be nowhere close to Vari's, but he makes for deadly combat, particularly close-ranged. Once he learned of Adolpha's false name right before the battle of Driftveil bridge, he went of in an angry huff, and has yet to return. At this point, Adolpha isn't really sure he ever will....

Meinrad- Zweilous, Rash nature

Meinrad was a gift to Adolpha from her father, in hopes that she would someday take him to join up with the warrior's guild, as he had done with his own dragon Pokemon. From the time she received him, Adolpha has had a sort of fearful respect for the strange Pokemon. He would constantly bite everything, including Adolpha, after which she decided to keep her left hand and forearm constantly wrapped up. She understood his behavior was due to his lack of sight, but that was really all she could understand about him. To this day she has no idea what made him evolve, and he is still as much a mystery to her now as he was then; especially since Deino are as uncommon as they are. Even so, he treats her with an unusual gentleness, while strangers have the misfortune of meeting his teeth first. Meinrad tends to retain the habit of reaching out to bite anything that moves near him, which is why Adolpha usually makes him stay behind to stand guard over their loot. Meinrad is known to be rather violent in battle, with powerful far-ranging attacks. Since Cassius left, Meinrad's demeanor can only be described as belligerent. (most likely harboring a serious grudge against his "former" teammate, as dark-type Pokemon tend to do...)


Olek- Krokorok, Adamant nature
The newest addition to the team, not much is known about him except that he hails from the huge desert that spans in between Castelia and Nimbasa. He was apparently a beta male in his tribe, and fought one of the alphas for a higher rank, but lost terribly. This shamed him greatly, and he was eventually forced out from his tribe. Adolpha and Vari discovered him in the town, where he was attempting to forage for himself. Taking pity on this misplaced Pokemon, Adolpha invited him to join her group. He seems to be rather reserved, making his own observations and interpretations. He seems to have taken Adolpha's new training regiment the most seriously, and seems to be the one Adolpha confides in the most since Cassius left.
